Opportunity for Paid Facilitators to facilitate a Focused Group Discussion (FGD )for North West Migrants Forum

The Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister has commissioned the North West Migrants Forum to carry out qualitative and quantitative research to assess the needs of the black and ethnic minorities living in the North West region of Northern Ireland, and how far they can enjoy their basic rights. The survey will also assess the attitudes of established communities in the North West region of Northern Ireland towards minority communities and migrants. The qualitative research will be contacted in the form of a Focused Group Discussion (FGD). Each FGD is expected to attract up to 25 participants.

The FGDs will be as follows:

1 Migrant men FGD (18 years +) up to 25 people

2. Young Migrants FGD (12yrs – 18 years) up to 25 young people

3. Migrant Women FGD (18+ years) up to 25 people

4. Young people (Irish/British) (12-18 years up to 25 young people

5. Adults of Irish /British origin (age 18+ years) up to 25 people Each FGD will last for 4 hours, each facilitator will be paid £35 an hour for 4 hours and each note taker will be paid £15 an hour for 4 hours.

Experience in note taking and facilitation work is desirable. North West Migrants Forum reserves the right to select facilitators.
