THE North West Migrants Forum’s Summer Club has reached maximum capacity in record time.
The annual event opened two weeks ago with 45 places available to children aged between seven and 15.
But within days the books were full, a clear indication of the Summer Club’s enduring popularity.
Financed through the Co-Op Foundation’s Future Communities Fund, the scheme is now in its third year.
Conor Sharkey of the North West Migrants Forum said the response from parents and guardians was surprising.
“We know from previous years how popular our Summer Club is. But this year the rush for places was overwhelming. It felt almost like parents and guardians were waiting for us to hit the ‘live’ button on registrations so they could sign their little ones up.

“The response was very heartening and we look forward to welcoming everyone lucky enough to secure a spot.
“With the programme of activities our youth leaders Cathy and Cara have drawn up, we are confident that 2025 is going to be another fantastic and fun Summer Club.”
