Vicky Aldana began her studies in Architecture in Mexico before completing a master’s in urban management in Spain, where she developed a strong interest in how systems, spaces and policies shape everyday life. This led to a growing commitment to social justice and a career change to Law at Queen’s University Belfast, where she is currently in her final year. Her interdisciplinary background enables her to link structural thinking with the social, cultural and legal realities affecting communities.
Her legal interests include human rights, public governance, and constitutional and administrative law. She is particularly driven by the role of clear information, ethical decision making and accountability in achieving fair outcomes. In 2024, she expanded her governance experience through the Boardroom Apprentice programme, gaining practical insight into board operations, strategic leadership and public interest decision making.
Having lived in Mexico, Spain, Portugal and Northern Ireland, Vicky brings a strong multicultural perspective to her work. She is multilingual, adaptable and skilled at bridging cultural and linguistic gaps, which underpins her commitment to inclusion and community empowerment. Her work supporting migrant communities has strengthened her belief in transparent, participatory and responsive governance.
Analytical yet empathetic, Vicky values clarity, collaboration and daily acts of respect as foundations for meaningful social change. She strives to make complex information accessible, amplify underrepresented voices, and help build systems that allow individuals to feel informed, valued, and heard.
