Hala Omar is a Sudanese community member and advocate who is passionate about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for migrants and minoritised communities in the North West. She arrived in the UK in 2025 and brings with her a rich blend of lived experience, cultural insight, and a strong belief in the power of community support.

Hala’s professional background includes working as a Secretary at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, where she developed excellent organisational and communication skills, and serving as a Collaborative Teacher in both a vocational institute and a secondary school. Her work in education strengthened her commitment to helping people build confidence, develop new skills, and feel empowered to shape their own futures.

Hala is proud to support the North West Migrants Forum’s mission to challenge stereotypes, promote equality, and ensure that everyone regardless of background. has fair access to services and opportunities. She is especially passionate about initiatives that bring people together, encourage learning, and help individuals speak up against discrimination.

As a board member, Hala brings empathy, dedication, and a strong community centred perspective. She is committed to helping the Forum continue its work in transforming narratives, tackling prejudice, and building a more respectful and inclusive society for all.
