New full-time roles announced through PEACEPLUS programme to support inclusive communities

April 3, 2026

New full-time job opportunities are being announced today as part of a major programme aimed at building positive relationships in communities experiencing rapid demographic change.

The Intercultural Cross-Border Inclusion (ICI) Programme, supported by PEACEPLUS, has been developed by an alliance of five grassroots organisations, North West Migrants Forum, Donegal Intercultural Platform, Irish Network Against Racism, Multi-Ethnic Sports Northern Ireland and Rural Community Network.

This three-year initiative focuses on both rural and urban areas across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Donegal, Leitrim and Monaghan, delivering workshops, training, and community activities to promote inclusion, challenge racism, and strengthen community relationships.

As part of the continued rollout of the programme, two new full-time roles are being advertised from today:

  • Finance Officer (full-time) – fully funded through the PEACEPLUS programme
  • Programme’s Administrator (full-time) – jointly funded through PEACEPLUS and The National Lottery Heritage Fund

The Programme ‘s Administrator role will also support delivery of the “Black Heritage in Northern Ireland: Hidden History” project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, which aims to uncover, document and share the often-overlooked contributions of Black communities in Northern Ireland.

These roles build on the nine positions already filled across the partner organisations, further strengthening the capacity to deliver impactful, community-focused work.

CEO of the North West Migrants Forum, Lilian Seenoi Barr, welcomed the announcement

“I have always said that if people look beyond the negative voices and tabloid headlines, they will see that migrants strengthen local economies.

“The Intercultural Cross-Border Inclusion Programme is a strong example of how investment in people and communities creates opportunities and builds understanding.

“These new roles are not just jobs, they are part of a wider vision to create the conditions for respect, where cultural diversity is celebrated and communities can live, learn, work and socialise together without prejudice or hate.

“We are excited to welcome new team members who will help us deliver this important work and ensure that all communities feel included and valued.”

Applications for both roles are now open. Click on this link
