AFTER 12 years of posting, the North West Migrants Forum has decided the time has come to leave X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Our reason for doing so is as follows: At the North West Migrants Forum we are committed to values of diversity, inclusion, truth, and integrity. As an organisation that strives to foster respect and fairness in all spaces, we can no longer justify our presence on a platform that amplifies false narratives, divisive rhetoric and hateful messages.
For this reason, we will no longer be using X for communication purposes. It is essential that the platforms we engage with reflect our core values of truth and reconciliation and provide a space for meaningful, respectful dialogue.
We invite our supporters and community to continue engaging with us on Bluesky, where we will maintain an open and inclusive space for discussion, advocacy, and updates on our work.
