THE PSNI has renewed its appeal for information concerning the whereabouts of a family of seven.
Aged between 18 and six, the Abdi children along with 45-year-old Saadiya Shukri have not been seen since mid-April and concerns are growing. They were last reported in the Derry city area and it’s believed they may have travelled to England – this has yet to be established.
The children are Hassan Abdi, Mustaq Abdi, Reyan Abdi, Roman Abdi, Ruweda Abdi, and six-year-old Milhan Abdi. Photographs of the children as well as Saadiya Shukri have been released by the police.
It is believed some of the younger children were pupils of St Anne’s primary School in the Creggan area of Derry.
Police for Derry City and Strabane said: “We need assistance in locating a family who were last seen in the city on Sunday April 14. We are increasingly concerned about their welfare.
“Information suggests they may have travelled to England. However, this has not yet been confirmed. If you have seen the Abdi Family, Please contact police on 101 quoting serial 1548 of 12/04/2024.”
