A new report exploring online activity by the Far Right in Northern Ireland will be launched in both Derry and Belfast next month.
The Committee on the Administration of Justice (CAJ) and its partners will present a range of case studies, including social media posts related to anti-immigration and Islamophobic protests and disorder.
The report will also examine protest activity at schools, rhetoric and responses to racist incidents and anti-migrant posters and banners.
A spokesperson for CAJ said, “This report, ‘Mapping Far Right Activity Online in Northern Ireland Project Report: Case studies on the role of social media in anti-immigration protests and racist incidents’ addresses questions as to the extent to which last summer’s disorder, subsequent protests and racist incidents have been being fuelled by orchestration, disinformation and misinformation online by Far Right actors and tropes.
