A jobs fair aimed at helping refugees find employment is taking place in Belfast later this month.

The Belfast Refugee Jobs Fair on September 17 is being organised by the Refugee Employment Network and GEMS NI.

A spokesperson said, “We are delighted to invite you to the Belfast Refugee Jobs Fair, a free event designed to connect individuals with exciting career opportunities and comprehensive employment support.

“This event will bring together employers and support agencies to offer live job vacancies and employment advice.”

The fair will be an opportunity to meet a diverse range of employers offering vacancies across various sectors and professions.

There will be on-site language translation while there will also be a chance to get advice on overcoming employment barriers.

Location: 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast, BT1 1DA

Time: 11am to 3pm

Choose from two sessions:

Session 1: 11am to 1pm

Session 2: 1pm to 3pm

Case workers, support professionals and mentors are invited to accompany clients to this event.

DERRY JOBS FAIR

The Belfast Refugee Jobs Fair is one of a number of employment events taking over the next few weeks.

A standard Derry City and Strabane Jobs Fair will be held in the City Hotel, Derry, on Tuesday, September 10.

Taking place between 11am and 3pm, this too will be an opportunity to chat with local employers from various sectors and improve your employment prospects with practical advice and support.

Pre-registration is not required for the City Hotel event.
