THIS Wednesday evening Derry’s Rath Mór Centre will host a screening of the critically acclaimed documentary ‘On My Land’.
On My Land is a cinematic testament to the Palestinian struggle, as seen through the eyes of filmmaker Mohamad Zwhara. This deeply personal documentary follows Mohamad’s life from a young boy growing up in a farming family to a seasoned activist and filmmaker.
The film weaves together stories of his family’s deep-rooted connection to the land, his early experiences in nonviolent resistance and his journey as a visual storyteller.
Through his lens, the audience witnesses the profound significance of the land to Palestinians and the resilience of a people determined to defend their homeland.
The screening is free of charge and tickets are not required. However donations are welcome with all monies going towards raising funds for the Al-Shmoh Cultural Centre and grassroots organisations across Palestine.
On My Land film is showing in the Rath Mór Centre, Wednesday, January 8, Hive Studio, 7-9pm.
Arrival and refreshments are from 6.30pm with the screening at 7pm followed by a question and answer session with Mohamad Zwhara.
