North West Migrants Forum

Invitation to the North-West Migrants Forum Language Festival

The North-West Migrants Forum invites you to their Language Festival which is being held at Culturlann Ui Chanain-Derry on Tuesday the 26th of September 2017 at 10am to 4pm.

The event corresponds to the European Day of Languages and aims to alert the public to the importance of language learning and diversifying the range of languages learnt in order to increase intercultural understanding.  Moreover, we hope to encourage lifelong language learning as a means of celebrating and promoting linguistic diversity.

The language Festival also aims at promoting the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Northern Ireland, which we believe must be preserved and fostered. Experience a day travelling through 10 different languages spoken in the North West Area. Learn to hold a basic conversation and count in each of the languages. This is also a great opportunity to learn about the history and cultures of 10 countries from different continents and taste a range of dishes from these countries!. Because language can help you make new friends, explore new lands and build bridges with other cultures. We would be delighted if you could join us at this event! To register please email events@nwmf.org.uk  Please mention in the subject header of your e-mail “Language Festival”
