Our intercultural gala festival is a yearly event with a series of activities aimed at promoting community integration, inclusion, good relations and a shared future. The festival ensures that the local African and Caribbean (including refugee and asylum seeker populations) in the Derry -Londonderry area have a chance to showcase and celebrate its own culture and traditions.

The project also ensures that members of our communities from a 2nd generation or from mixed-relationships are able to engage in our rich cultural traditions and learn about them thus increasing their capacity to develop relationships of trust with those of different traditions and values. Indigenous local groups will see the impact and wealth of culture from BME communities and benefit by seeing their own culture in the context of a wider cultural experience in the city.
